With over 20 years of experience in industrial automation and full‑cycle project execution, Koen Dierick has developed deep technical expertise across multiple sectors, with a strong specialization in Airfield Lighting Control Systems (ALCS).
Koen spent more than a decade on the Taoyuan Airport Rehabilitation Project, serving as System Engineer, Project Engineer, and later Project Manager—gaining extensive hands‑on experience in designing, integrating, and commissioning advanced airfield control solutions. He then relocated to Malaysia, taking on the role of System Engineering Regional Manager Asia, where he oversaw large‑scale automation and airfield lighting control engineering projects throughout the region.
In June 2023, Koen founded KDI Automation LTD and returned to Taiwan to independently deliver high‑quality automation solutions supported by two decades of industry knowledge.
His professional background includes:
- Industrial brewing installation maintenance (1 year)
- PLC programming for automated warehouse systems (1 year)
- Design, engineering, project execution, and management of Airfield Lighting Control Systems (16+ years)
Today, Koen brings his extensive ALCS expertise—combined with broad industrial automation experience—to help airports, industries, and engineering teams implement safe, reliable, and future‑ready automation systems.
